During her time with the Air National Guard she was on Active Duty for Enduring Freedom following September 11, 2001. She has always had a passion for obstetrics and pursued a nursing degree from Laramie County Community College in 2001, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 2009. Twelve years of her 15 year nursing career have been spent working in labor and delivery, and she has spent the last 9 of those years at Memorial Hospital. In the fall of 2012 Rhonda was ready to follow her love of caring for pregnant women and her dream of becoming a certified nurse-midwife. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University in December 2014 with a master of science in nursing/midwifery. Rhonda is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and licensed by the state of Colorado. Rhonda strives to provide compassionate woman-centered care and to empower women to have confidence and trust in their bodies throughout their pregnancy and birth experience. She lives in Monument, CO with her husband and 2 boys, ages 4 and 9. Her hobbies include photography, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.

“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers- strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength”
