About Matthew Dunham

Dr. Matthew M. Dunham, MD FACOG grew up in Michigan and attended Central Michigan University where he received a Bachelor in Science in 1997. After graduation, he moved to Houston where he worked as a research assistant for 2 years in the organ transplant division of the University of Texas Health Science Center. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2003. He completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology in 2007 at The University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Dunham was awarded a scholarship from the National Health Services Corps to help pay for medical school. To satisfy his pay back, he served as a staff physician at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton California. Here he delivered high quality medical care to an underserved population. He earned his board certification in obstetrics and gynecology during that time.



Dr. Dunham has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, Robotic surgery, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, pelvic pain syndromes. He has been in practice nearly 12 years, and has developed extensive experience and additional training in these areas during that time. Dr. Dunham is excited to Join Dr. Stringfellow’s practice, which will allow him to focus on gynecological conditions exclusively. Between Dr. Stringfellow and Dr. Dunham, they have nearly 50 years of expertise which they will use to deliver the highest level of gynecologic care to the women of southern Colorado.
