About Roy Stringfellow
Dr. Stringfellow is a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and a Fellow with the American College of OB/GYN. He has served on the Board of Directors for several professional organizations. His expertise has been recognized by inclusion in the list of Top Gynecology Docs in Colorado Springs for the last 10 years in a row. He is also listed in the Registry of the America’s Best Doctors and America’s Top obstetricians and Gynecologists. He has served as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He has limited his practice to Gynecology only (he leaves getting up in the middle of the night to deliver babies to the young practitioners in town).
He is a Senior Partner of Advanced Gynecology, a practice that was established in Colorado Springs over 25 years ago.
Professional Experience
Dr. Stringfellow is a member of numerous professional and honorary societies and has served as an officer or board member for several. He helped establish the birthing center concept in Colorado Springs, and he has been a pioneer in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He has served as Chief of Council and Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the Penrose Hospital System. He has been a surgical consultant to hospitals in the Dominican Republic, China, and Africa.

Personal Life
Dr Stringfellow has been happily married to Carolyn Stringfellow for over 40 years. Their son Clint is a film editor and their daughter Caroline Hedges is a Board Certified OB/GYN in Colorado Springs. He is the proud grandfather of 5 wonderful grandchildren.
Dr. Stringfellow and his wife attend Fellowship Bible Church in Colorado Springs. He has served as Chairman of the Missions Committee and as an Elder Advisor.
Dr. Stringfellow’s interests include spending time with his family, being a grandfather, traveling locally and abroad, short-term mission trips, photography, fly fishing, hunting and fishing in general (especially in exotic locations), and rendering medical care to many very special patients that he has served in this area for over 30 years.
